According to the explanation by the House of Representatives, this proposal grants municipalities more authority to protect tenants against irregularities when renting properties or accommodations. We would like to inform you about some important changes that have come into effect as of July 1st, 2023, under the Wet Goed Verhuurderschap. As mentioned earlier, this law aims to clarify the rights and responsibilities of tenants and landlords and to ensure the quality of rental homes.

The conditions that the landlord must adhere to when entering the residential space during the rental agreement. Tenant consent is required unless there is an urgent emergency, essential work, renovation, adjacent property, or viewing for sale or new rental.
