The rewarded Central Station is frequented by trains from NS International. There is a direct connection to LondonTypically, the train journey takes 3hrs 13mins, with a maximum speed of 300 km/h. Eurostar trains arrive right in the heart of London at the beautiful and historic St Pancras International. As well as lots of shops and restaurants, you’ll find six London Underground connections and buses.

The Thalys also stops at Rotterdam. It brings the passengers to Belgium and Paris. 

The European Sleeper is a new initiative. Founded by two entrepreneurs with a great passion for night trains. It's organized as a cooperative. In May 2021 and within 15 minutes, European Sleeper raised €500,000 in seed capital, by selling shares to more than 350 small investors from various countries in Europe and beyond. From summer 2022 there will be a direct connection between Brussels and Prague. The night train will also stop at Rotterdam. In 2023 a train to Warsaw must operate and in 2024 a yet unknown destination is next.

Ultimately European Sleeper will connect four European capitals. Sustainable and comfortable travel will become more attractive to many. For holidaymakers, city trippers, and business travelers alike.

Next to the Central Station and at Zuidplein there are bus stops for FlixBus. This global mobility provider changed the way millions of people travel in Europe since 2013. From Rotterdam, there are direct routes to cities such as Munich, Ingolstadt, Copenhagen, and Ljubljana.

There are several daily flights from Rotterdam The Hague Airport to several destinations. You can be in London City Airport within 50 minutes and Tanger in Marroco will take three hours. Other options are Split, Zakynthos, Vienna and Rovaniemi, the capital of Finnish Lapland, for example. There are 50 European destinations in total.

Intercontinental flight are also nearby. As Schiphol is less than an hour away by car and train. From the Dutch national airport non-stop flights depart to 202 places in the whole wide world.

If you want to take the boat to London, you can go by ferry from Hoek van Holland to Harwich. On the ferry route Hook of Holland - Harwich from the Netherlands to England Stena Line has two ships in service: Stena Hollandica and Stena Britannica. Both ferries have many facilities that make the comfortable crossing even more agreeable. From Harwich you can continue the trip by car (your own as you board with your own car) or take the train.
