Off Course Duncan Laurence was happy when it was announced that Rotterdam will host the Eurovision Song Contest. The winner grew up near the city and he created Arcade together with his producer in a studio in the Maassilo in Rotterdam. He knows his way here. The municipality expects tens of thousands international visitors that won’t always know their way in Rotterdam. Where to stay for example? For example. How appropriate would this luxurious apartment be for a contestant and crew. Located in the recently award winning Fenixlofts. The building is named after the Dutch word for Phoenix. Around 1900 these were the largest harbor warehouses in the world. The warehouses were bombed during the Second World War, but a large part of the construction survived the attack. A fire in 1947 destroyed the central part of the building, but the Fenix ​​rose again from its ashes. Sounds familiar? From 8 to 16 May, the Eurovision Song Contest will be felt throughout the city with Euro Villageas central point. The Euro Village is fee to enter and will be located in the center. Although it isn’t yet decided where exactly. This is the ultimate venue where artists competing in the Eurovision Song Contest will come together with new talent and established names from the city and all over the country. The Maassilo will be transformed into the Euroclub. The place for the official afterparties of the Songfestival. Riva has a lot to offer throughout Rotterdam so you’re always close to the action.

Special honorable activities

Not only will there be parties in the Euro Village a lot of people organise special events. All over Rotterdam there will be club nights, concerts, exhibitions and sing-along parties. Rotterdam has a reputation you know.

One of the bigger festivities will be the The Rotterdam Drag Show. The Rotterdam Drag Show alreaydy starts on April 10, 2020 in the Schiecentrale studios with an eye dropping cast including tv-personality Miss Envy Peru and Vanessa van Cartier. It culminates in the same week as ESC so The Rotterdam Drag Show is honoring this event with a special Eurovision edition of the show.

Next to all festivities the city offers great restaurants, bars and other attractions. We already made a couple of guides for certain parts of the city like Kop van Zuid, Wijnhaven, around Central Station and the city center.
