Café Sijf is located on the Oude Binnenweg and convinced both mystery visitors, the professional jury and the main jury. They praise Sijf because of the old fashioned cosiness with modern business operations. "Sijf doesn't go with the times, time goes with Sijf."
On the ever vibrant Witte de Withstraat you can find Bierboutique, this bar offers 90 different beers in an elegant interior. They and came in third.
Next on the list is Van Zanten on the Meent. In the summer this is the perfect spot in the middle of the city because of the big terrace it has on the Binnenrotte. It ranks at 32.
Five places below, on number 37, we'll find Nieuw Rotterdams Café. This big bar on the Witte de Withstraat is also known for late night dancing. Fun fact. This bar is owned by Herman Hell (Hell's Kitchen), he's also runs winning Cafe Sijf and Van Zanten! He must be feeling like he's in heaven right now!
Melief Bender, again on Oude Binnenweg and opposite Sijf, is ranked at number 39. This bar opened it's doors in 1876. It's the oldest cafe in the city!
The next watering spot on the list is De Pui on the Oostzeedijk, very close to our office ;-) It ranks at number 69.
Proeflokaal Reijngoud houses on the corner of the Schiedamse Vest, near Witte de Withstreet. They're at number 85. They recently branched out in North. The occupy a couple of the Hofbogen and operate an brewery.
Wilskracht closes the top 100. It's located near shopping mall Alexandrium. It's the exception. Because the seven other chosen bars are found in the city center. And off course Riva offers a lot of rental apartments near those hotspots.
Within walking distance of Sijf, Bierboutique, Nieuw Rotterdams Cafe, Melief Bender and Reijngoud is this apartment in the Karel Doorman. It has a really amazing view over the skyline of Rotterdam.
